NEW covid restrictions have come into effect in the Region of Murcia: Here’s what to expect.
In new measures, which began yesterday, Wednesday, October 21, to stop the spread of covid across the region, the Murcian health authority has introduced stricter safety measures and upped restrictions across twelve municipalities and several residential districts of the cities of Murcia and Cartagena.
The new restrictions were published in the BORM (The Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia) and here are the list of areas affected:
Abanilla, Alhama de Murcia, Archena, Beniel, Cieza, Fortuna, Fuente Álamo, Jumilla, Lorca, Molina de Segura, Totana and Santomera.
Murcia districts of: Javalí Nuevo, Javalí Viejo, La Ñora, Rincón de Beniscornia, Puebla de Soto, Rincón de Seca, La Raya, Nonduermas, Era Alta, La Arboleja, Los Dolores, San Ginés and Puente Bacinos.
They are also applicable in the neighbourhoods of El Carmen, Barriomar-La Purísima, Buenos Aires, Infante Juan Manuel, Vistabella, San Andrés, San Antón, San Miguel, San Antolín, San Nicolás, San Pedro, Santa Catalina, Vistabella, Polígono de La Paz, La Fama, Santa Eulalia and San Juan.

The latest restrictions and rule changes have been set for the next seven days, although they may be extended if they prove to be insufficient in the fight against the coronavirus.
