The leader of the Popular Party, Pablo Casado, has announced his party will vote ‘no’ on the motion of no confidence in Pedro Sánchez’s Government, presented by Vox.

The announcement was made at in the plenary session of the Congress of Deputies on Thursday, October 22, during which Casado said his party will ‘categorically reject” Santiago Abascal as president.

He said it is a “motion of imposture”.

In his speech, Casado heavily criticised Abascal and his party, accusing him of doing nothing useful during the crisis and of using the motion as a platform to promote his candidate for the Catalan elections, Ignacio Garriga.

“Much ado about nothing, like everything you do,” he told Abascal.
