A day at the races with Teulada-Moraira Lions

TEULADA-MORAIRA LIONS were delighted to receive a €250 donation from the recent Ladies’ St Leger Race Day event at Maxim’s.
Organiser Coral Guise-Smith offered the Lions 50 per cent of the profits, which she stipulated should go to the local Food Banks.
Teulada-Moraira Lions regularly donate funds to the Food Banks, particularly when their usual funding routes are interrupted for some reason.
The Race Day demonstrated that you can raise money and have fun in the process, even in these trying times.
Teulada-Moraira Lions are extremely grateful to Coral and Libby for their generosity and can assure them that the funds will be directed as requested and will be very welcome.
There are strong indications that poverty will be a key problem in the local community this winter following the pandemic’s impact on businesses, and Teulada-Moraira Lions are keen to look at all options to boost their funds.
To help them in this endeavour, they ask everyone to visit the Lion’s Den charity shop, a couple of doors away from Letters R Us beneath the Pepe La Sal supermarket at the Centro Comercial in Moraira.
For those who would like to support the Lions but do not feel comfortable about going into the shop, they also have a GoFundMe page https://www.gofundme.com/f/teulada-moraira-lions which can be accessed via their website or Facebook page.
“Please help us to help those in need in our area,” the Lions said.  “If you are interested in finding out more about our work, and possible joining Teulada Moraira Lions, you can find more information on our www.tmlions.com webpage.
