LAST Saturday (October 17) a distraught mother realised that she had managed to lock her car door with the keys inside in a supermarket underground car park, but that wasn’t all as the car contained her 16-month old baby.
Calling the emergency services, she explained the problem and a team from the Palma Fire Brigade attended promptly to ensure that the baby was removed safely and quickly before any harm could be done.
Although they first considered breaking a window, there was always a possibility of endangering the child but with a little perseverance they managed to open one of the doors to the vehicle so that the mother could be reunited with her child and drive home.
