MATCH Report: CF Sporting de San Fulgencio 0 – 2 CD Montesinos.

To say the game was largely dull, would be doing the word dull a great disservice, it was worse than dull, it was tedious plus drab plus soporific.
Neither team seemed able to get beyond the pretty passing triangle phase or, even worse, the hefty lump it up field for someone to chase phase.
It took twenty minutes until either side had a shot on target, let alone a chance of a serious opening!
Those in attendance basked in the warm, autumnal sunshine, looked on and yawned expansively as both teams trudged off to “polite” applause with the game 0-0 at half-time.
The second half-time didn’t start off promisingly with little or no improvement from either participants, and there was no chance the crowd could have expected the result to be CF Sporting de San Fulgencio 0 – 2 CD Montesinos.
In fact, the antics of the referee was the only thing that livened up the crowd as he proceeded to seemingly book anyone near anyone else who fell over as he happily continued to ruin an already dire contest.
Then finally a flash of individual brilliance by the only player worth paying the entrance fee to watch, DAMIEN, snagged a loose ball in a congested midfield and with pinpoint accuracy lofted the ball over the hapless Fulgencio keeper, who had strayed just a little too far off his line.
The referee reached into his pocket once more to give a second inexplicable yellow for ALFREDO for having the temerity to have the ball kicked at him from a free kick, leaving the travelling side down to ten men, but one nil up.
And then debutante wide man PACQUITO caught the wandering home keeper out again with yet another deft chip from the edge of the penalty area, leaving the ten man team two goals up and walking away victorious.
