MURCIA pays tribute to the 56,000 Covid-19 deaths by filling the Isidoro Valcarcel Medina Garden with thousands of Spanish flags this morning.

The National Association of Victims and People affected by Coronavirus (ANVAC) chose the garden, together with Juan de Borbón avenue, for the tribute which followed the “Memory and Justice” events held in Seville (Parque Alamillo), Madrid (Parque Roma) and Valencia (Playa de la Patacona).

ANVAC volunteers took to the garden and avenue in the early hours of this morning to plant thousands of Spanish flags in an emotional act of remembrance for those that lost their lives to the coronavirus.

At 12pm a minute of silence was observed and at 6pm the flags were collected.
