SELFIE-DRAW: Caja de Luz in Plaza del Educador Credit: Almeria town hall

ALMERIA city hall intends its Caja de Luz (Box of Light) in Plaza del Educador to become a draw for selfie-takers between now and Christmas.
Referring to the square structure made entirely of lightbulbs and resembling a gift box, mayor Ramon Fernandez-Pacheco explained that the local government was going all out to stimulate the city’s commerce.
The mayor called on  residents and visitors to visit the Caja de Luz and share their photos on the social media.
“We shall be installing more attractions like these in the city centre, where they will not be removed after Christmas but remain until March 31,” Fernandez-Pacheco said.
