Queen back to top the charts

Queen back to top the charts after 25 years as their 8th live album hits the right chords with fans.

For the first time in 25 years, Queen has topped the album chart beating back current K-pop sensations Blackpink and Spice Girl, Melanie C to claim the coveted Number 1 position.

This is the first time since 1995 that Queen have returned to the charts as they floor the competition.

Their album, Live Around the World, is their 8th live album and their 10th Number 1 album in total. However, it is the first Number 1 album they have garnered since being joined by new frontman, Adam Lambert, who joined the group in 2011.

Queen’s drummer, Roger Taylor, said, “Number one – my favourite number. It’s a thrill, still.”

“I’m so glad people are enjoying this album so much,” added Lambert. “The fact that we can celebrate the iconic music of Queen all these years later is incredible.”
