THE Museum of Nerja introduces, from this afternoon, Wednesday, September 30, the seminar-workshop “Covid-19 and effects on tourism: Challenges and Opportunities.”
The objective is to carry out an analysis of the effects on tourism due to the changes that have occurred.
This meeting is organised by the University Institute for Intelligence Research and Tourism Innovation of the University of Malaga (i3t-UMA), together with an R + D + i research project of the National Plan.
The conference looks to discuss current tourism and the analysis of the challenges of the future of the sector, which will have to coexist with the sanitary restrictions until we manage to overcome the virus.
It will take place in 2 days: today Wednesday, September 30, in the afternoon: from 5pm to 8pm and tomorrow, October 1, in the morning and afternoon program: from 10am to 1pm and 5pm to 8pm.
There are places are for 30 people, in addition this seminar can be followed online, live, through the Instagram profile @MuseodeNerja
Given the current situation, there is a need to reflect on the tourism model and the possibility of creating more sustainable patterns within this sector.
This activity will be a space for reflection and debate to face the most immediate effects on tourism: attraction of capital, overcrowding, seasonality, climate crisis, impacts on ecosystems, sociological changes, changes in flows, etc.
The end is the search for sustainable and smart strategies. One of the results of the seminar will be a participatory diagnosis with the attendees on the challenges of tourism in Nerja.
