Carp-R-Us have returned to action in Costa Blanca and were thoroughly delighted to be back. What a day, what a catch!

CARP-R-US of Costa Blanca recently took part in the Peter Kerr Memorial Cup match held at El Bosquet and were delighted to be back in competitive action.
Matches may be a little bit more complex to organise this year with the Covid-19 pandemic still hanging over the world but that wasn’t going to get in the way of a competitive day of fishing.
With everyone wearing masks at the draw and weigh-in, the match secretary drew everyone’s pegs, as the competition complied with all the Covid-19 protocols.
When it came to the match itself, Doug Hornblow drew one of the hot pegs (those in the mid twenties) leaving everyone certain that they were going to be battling for second place.
That proved to be the case as Doug ran out a comfortable winner from peg 27 with 29.30kg caught on feeder with maggot and pellet.
Second was Jeremy Fardoe with 14.94 from peg 26 using feeder and meat, third was Richard Crawshaw with 14.55kg caught on feeder and maggot and fourth was Alan Smith with 11.14kg from peg 31.
Conditions at El Bosquet were not ideal as there were a lot of wasps and due to heavy rain recently, tracks have become very muddy.
