JAVEA’S mayor Jose Chulvi recently represented the municipality at a Montgo national park board meeting.
Chulvi gave details of the problems caused by the state of the paths that affected not only Javea town hall but also the local population.
Owing to the Montgo board’s General Uses Plan (PRUG), repairs have to be carried out with gravel, a raw material that deteriorates rapidly in rainy weather, the mayor explained.
Alternative and longer-lasting materials have appeared since the PRUG measures were first approved, the mayor said, asking the board to consider their use.
“They are just as environmentally-friendly,” Chulvi pointed out.
