Increased production wanted

ALTHOUGH Nissan will go ahead with the closure of its vehicle production in Barcelona at the end of this year, management believe that workers should increase production whilst they still have jobs.

Reports suggest that current production is as low as 40 vehicles a day compered to 160 produced daily prior to the lockdown and that the October target is to reach at least 128 vehicles every day until final closure.

There is a current demand from Japan for new vehicles and Barcelona can help meet those needs.
