In what must have seemed like something from a movie, pilots witnessed ‘Iron Man’ flying around 3,000 feet in the air.
LOS ANGELES was the scene of a bizarre incident in which two pilots on two different planes reported seeing the rocket man flying thousands of feet in the air.
In scenes reminiscent of Iron Man from the Marvel movies, one pilot reported the incident to air-traffic control, saying “Tower, American 1997. We just passed a guy in a jetpack.”
Another pilot also reported seeing the jetpack man.
In a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration, representatives confirmed the pilots’ accounts, “Two airline flight crews reported seeing what appeared to be someone in a jetpack as they were on their final approaches to LAX around 6.35pm PDT Sunday.”
The statement concluded, “The FAA alerted local law enforcement to the reports, and is looking into these reports.”
