THIS Monday, the National Police arrested a 41-year-old woman accused of fatally stabbing a 65-year-old man in a house in Costa Blanca’s Alicante. According to police sources, the incident occurred in the morning, sometime between 9.00am and 12.00pm, in a house in the La Florida neighbourhood.

It seems as if the woman called the emergency services to warn them that the man had suffered a heart attack, so the sanitary staff immediately went to his aid. However, upon their arrival, the health services found a very different image from what they had been described: the man had been stabbed.

In fact, the health workers could not do anything to save the victim’s life and all they could do was certify his death. The Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (EICC) were both shocked and saddened at this horrific incident.

The man’s body at the time was in the bathroom and showed no apparent symptoms of violence, but when the paramedics turned it over they saw his bloody stab wounds. The National Police is now in charge of the investigation as they seek to clarify what happened and bring justice for the victim’s family.
