Silva comes home to Spain and signs for Real Sociedad for two seasons.
DAVID Silva will return to Spain after winning 13 titles in England since 2010.
Real Sociedad announced Monday, August 17, the signing of Silva who recently split from Manchester City after a decade. The player will wear the number 21 shirt according to the San Sebastian club after signing a two-season contract.
Silva arrives at Real Sociedad free after leaving Manchester City a legend. The players former club plan to pay tribute to the Canarian footballer with a statue outside the stadium. Silva, considered one of the most important players in the clubs history, will also have the City clubs youth teams field named after him.
Khaldoon Al Mubarak, president of Manchester City, explains the sculpture is set to be completed in 2021 alongside the one also planned for Vincent Kompany.
