A Forest fire on the Costa del Sol has been contained after it burnt through an entire six hectares of bushland.

The firefighters for the Community of Andalucia (Infoca) considers the fire to be contained after it began this Tuesday in the Lomas del Real area of Marbella. According to the firefighting team, an estimated six hectares of scrubland was affected.

As reported by Infoca, the extinguishing director considers this fire to be controlled as of 10:00 a.m., an operation which they have been working on since approximately 12:40 a.m.

During the early hours of the morning, 32 forest firefighters, two environmental officers and two fire engines have worked on the extinguishing task.

The fire was stabilized at around 04:00 a.m. they have pointed out, as they thank the collaboration provided last night by fellow firefighters from Marbella.
