THE only way to get onto Benitachell’s Moraig beach is by appointment only as in reserving a place. The town hall’s AparcarE app will be up and running by Monday, July 16, and the beach controllers will want to see a QR code for each person – including children – before they are allowed to walk down to the cove. The reservation is good for the entire day, with no time limit. It is possible to make a booking a week ahead, but the town hall warned that those making reservations on two separate occasions without turning up will be penalised. The Moraig cove can hold 400 people and users must leave their vehicles at the upper car park and go down on foot. Beach assistants and controllers will be present from 8am until 7pm to inform and clear up doubts regarding health and safety regulations. Information is also available from Benitachell’s Tourist Info on 96 649 35 46. The reservations app is available on the following links; For Android & for iPhones. Thank you for reading: ‘By Appointment Only’
