Water load of fun you can have in Motril

Sports centre: A benchmark destination for nautical sports Credit: Twitter

THE company AWA Watersports has presented a project for the creation of a nautical-sports centre in Playa Granada, with which Motril aspires to become a benchmark destination for nautical sports.
They also aim to advance in tourism and sports development of the municipality and contribute to changing of the idea that these sports are only a seasonal part of the tourist offer, offering courses and nautical camps throughout the year.
The mayor of Motril, Luisa García Chamorro, has highlighted the commitment of the company AWA to the town over the last decade, reaching the number of 25,000 water sports participants from all over Spain who choose their school located in Granada beach for kitesurfing, windsurfing and paddle surfing courses.
The first mayor explained that the new nautical-sports activities centre, which could open its doors at the beginning of next year, will involve a global investment of around €400,000.
