THE Department of Environment of Velez-Malaga continues to face the mosquito with a new action in Torre del Mar.
This was presented by the councillor for the Environment, Antonio Ariza, who indicated that “given the high proliferation this year in various parts of the municipality and specifically in different areas of Torre del Mar, a total of six actions will be carried out, among the months of July, August and September.”
This control programme monitors the populations of these insects, “which allows us to know, through scientifically validated methods, the current state of affairs, the development and fluctuations of these insect populations in order to anticipate the sudden appearance of culicid mosquitoes, and adapt the treatments to the real situation of each moment and environment,” reported Ariza.
