Costa Almeria emergency service reinforcement

A NEW 061 health emergency centre in Vera town will start operating on July 20, covering localities throughout the eastern Levante region of the Costa Almeria.
The Junta de Andalucia’s Health and Familes department has set up the base to provide reinforced urgent assistance to patients in Cuevas del Almanzora, Antas, Los Gallardos, Turre, Pulpi, Huercal Overa, Mojacar and Garrucha, as well as Vera.
Attached to the Vera medical centre, the centre will be staffed by a nurse and a health emergencies expert, and will function from 10am to midnight.
The team will have a medicalised mobile unit able to send a patient’s clinical details and diagnostic test results for analysis by doctors at the Almeria 061 urgencies and emergencies coordinator centre.
