MURCIA looks set to make the use of mask mandatory even in public spaces where it is possible to social distance.
THE move is to combat the spread of coronavirus and prevent further outbreaks.
Catalonia and the Balearic Islands have already enforced the measure from Monday, with fines of €100 for those who don’t comply.
And the Region’s Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas, has admitted today that the same measure is “on the table” and that technicians are looking into it.
During a press conference after a meeting with the Governing Council, Villegas said there are three active outbreaks in the Region.
Elsewhere in the Costa Blanca, the Valencia Community has ruled out the mandatory use of masks in public places where the recommended distance can be maintained.
