SPAIN’S Royals, King Felipe and Queen Letizia have continued their tour of their homeland with a visit to Murcia on Tuesday, July 7. During the month of July, the Royals plan to journey to all regions to welcome tourism and thank those, in person, for the efforts made to combat the pandemic.

As part of their trip, they stopped in Cieza, where they visited La Carrichosa, a fruit and vegetable cooperative, as a gesture of support for the agricultural sector, which has been essential throughout the quarantine.

Specifically, Felipe VI and his wife toured the facilities before learning about the treatment and packaging process for some of the products.

Before leaving Cieza, the King conveyed a message of gratitude for “the enormous effort to maintain productive capacity”, to ensure the much-needed supply of food, and expressed his pride in the work of a region that unites tradition and innovation.
