Costa Blanca’s Alicante begins distribution of free masks for those over 65

Costa Blanca’s Alicante today began distributing free protective masks for those over 65.

THE City Council will be giving out packs of four masks every day until Friday, from 10am to 1pm, at nine of the city’s senior and community centres.

According to a spokesperson for the council, the initiative received “a great reception” in its first day.

Recipients can visit any one of the centres below, with proof of residence. To collect on behalf of someone else, a photocopy of proof of residence and signed authorisation from the holder will be required.

Masks can be collected at: Seneca building (Calle Portugal); the San Gabriel Senior Centre (Enrique López Vidal Square); the Cabo Huertas Community Centre (Avenida Costa Blanca, 19); the Gabriel Miró Senior Centre (Gabriel Miró Square, 8), at the La Tómbola Senior Centre (Calle Virgen del Puig with Avenida Jaime I), at the Juan XXIII Senior Centre (Calle Barítono Paco Latorre), at the La Florida Senior Centre (Avenida Lorenzo Carbonell, 58), at the San Blas Senior Centre (Calle San Raimundo) and finally at the Pla-Carolinas Community Centre (Calle Barcelona, 12).
