Vélez-Málaga provides news bulletproof vests to Local Police force in Spain´s Axarquia

The town hall of Vélez-Málaga delivered to the members of the Local Police a total of 75 new bulletproof vests, attending to a need that was highly demanded by the group and to help guarantee the proper performance of functions efficiently and in conditions of maximum security.

THE councillor for Security, José María Domínguez, participated in the delivery to the officers who from today have state-of-the-art security equipment in which the consistory has invested €49,458.

Domínguez stressed that, with this action, the government team fulfils its commitment to continue applying improvements so that the officers working conditions are optimal, guaranteeing their safety and better and safer citizen care.”

The vests are made of a breathable, comfortable and highly lightweight material, weighing only 1.7 kilograms; and they have the necessary benefits against firearms and melee weapons, as well as against possible trauma caused by an impact of these characteristics.
