JAVEA PLAYERS postponed their spring show but didn’t want to disappoint audiences by cancelling the very popular summer show.

Due to Covid-19 and uncertainty about reaching the New Normality, this has been postponed until July 27 and will run until August 1.

Roger Brown has masterminded Master of the Musical in a slightly different format than originally planned as, owing to constraints, neither the cast nor technical crew could practise together.

There will be fewer participants than originally planned, and no dancing, but audiences are still sure to enjoy this tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber, although the Players have asked them not to sing along with the performers.

Apart from Roger – Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady – Eliza, aka Cath Reid-Martin, will also be performing, together with Joanna Baldwin, Jade Gray and Alastair Wallace. Rosemary Brown is Mistress of Ceremonies.

The concert will be preceded by an al fresco meal at Bar Imperial, not at full capacity in order to adhere to requisite social distancing, likewise in the Casa de Cultura. Seats will be allocated upon arrival.

Tickets are now on sale at €19.50 for the tapas meal and show. For more information visit www.javeaplayers.com.
