National Police in the Costa del Sol have dismantled a drug trafficking network based in Torremolinos and arrested eight individuals.

TWO of the main players in the drug trafficking network include the distributor, a 46-year-old Portuguese man, and the seller, a 61-year-old Spanish man.

The investigation began around May when a dealer selling cocaine was identified in the Arroyo de la Miel area in Benalmadena.

Officers were vigilant and discovered that this retail point was very active with buyers and consumers going between Torremolinos and Benalmadena after a quick phone call or message.

The seller had an additional six people who acted as intermediaries in the sale in exchange for a cut in the profits. However, the investigation also led to the discovery of both the seller and distributor of these drugs.

Two searches were carried out and a total of 45 grams of cocaine, 350 grams of cutting substance, three digital scales, several mobile phones, a butterfly knife and €1,460 were seized in the process.
