THE Fuengirola Green Plan calls for innovative use of space to increase the amount of attractive vegetation in the town and its second vertical garden has now been opened in Los Pacos at a cost of €17,811.20.

The Fuengirola Mayor, Ana Mula visited the new garden which is located on Avenida Finlandia under the bridge of the old Nacional- 340, next to the Arroyo Pajare to see for herself the improvement.

The infrastructure is now covered with greenery whilst the area along Calle Juan Breva in Los Boliches enjoys the addition of a number of pots containing colourful gitanillas (known in English as Gypsy Plants).

Next to be tackled will be a third vertical garden in a space to be chosen in Miramar and that will also contain plants that are easy to manage yet are both attractive and expected to create volume.

Hopefully this initiative will not be ruined by bad graffiti as can be seen in the picture.
