Firefighters in Velez-Malaga save man from throwing himself from wall in Spain’s Axarquia

FIREFIGHTERS from the Diputacion Provincial de Malaga prevented a man of Romanian nationality from carrying out his threats to throw himself from the top of the wall of Velez-Malaga in the Plaza de la Constitucion, late on Sunday night.

The man was a friend of the father of the young man of the same nationality who fell from the same place on June 12, apparently by accident, and who had to be transferred urgently with multiple injuries to the Hospital Regional de Málaga.

For more than an hour, residents and officers of the Policia Local and Nacional, tried to convince the man to come down, until firefighters finally moved in to bring the man down. The reasons why the man adopted this attitude are unknown.
