Two trapped in overturned car in Costa Blanca’s Murcia

Two young people were injured this morning, one seriously, when their car overturned outside Torre Pacheco in Murcia.

THE male and female, both 19, were travelling in Torre Pacheco, shortly before 9am when for unknown reasons, the driver lost control and crashed.

Both were trapped inside the car, and once emergency services had rescued them from the wreck, they were transferred to separate hospitals.

The young man was taken to Los Arcos del Mar Menor hospital, while the woman was taken to Virgen de la Arrixaca in Murcia.

One of them is said to have been ‘seriously hurt.’

The 112 emergency centre received a call from a passerby at 8.47am who reported an overturned car with two occupants calling for help.

Local Police, ambulances and medical personnel from the Management of Urgencies and Sanitary Emergencies 061 and firefighters from the Consortium of Fire Extinction and Rescue of the Region of Murcia were mobilised.
