One Less Hazard as Dangerous Iron Strut Removed from Shoreline in Spain’s Costa del Sol

Officers removing the metal strut La Voz de Marbella

AFTER receiving an anonymous phone call, officers from the Local Police and Marbella Fire Brigade met on one of the municipalities beaches to investigate a potential health hazard.

It turned out that swimmers could have been in danger from an iron strut which was attached to the remains of a concrete pillar embedded in the sand at the shoreline.

The officers managed, with some difficulty, to remove the obstruction and allowed bathers back into the water.
