Cuevas del Almanzora Council has been lighting the way alongside the town’s river.
THE local authority’s Public Works and Services department has now completed the works on improvements to public lighting the length of the ‘Paseo Fluvial’ running next to the River Almanzora.
Public Works and Services councillor Jesus Navarro said the project meant the “restoration” of one of Cuevas’ most important leisure zones, “which for a long time has been the prey of unjustified vandalism.”
The local authority invested some €16,000 in the works, which included installing 70 new lampposts equipped with LED technology along the two-kilometre strip.
