Beaches in Torrox host a recycling awareness campaign in Spain's Axarquia region

ON Thursday, ‘Reciclando Junto al Mar,’ a resident information and awareness campaign to promote the recycling of light packaging, paper and cardboard, as well as to promote recycling, was presented on the Los Llanos Promenade on the Las Lindes beach.
Mayor of Torrox, Óscar Medina, has highlighted the interest shown by the town hall both for recycling and “to value and respect our environment.” For this reason, the mayor was in charge of the area at the consistory in Torroxeño and highlighted the great work carried out by the Provincial Council in terms of helping municipalities to collect waste and the importance of administrations working together, highlighting the existence of full collaboration between the Torrox Town Hall and the Provincial Council.
The councillor has indicated that the information booths will be present at Ferrara Beach on Wednesday, July 22 and at El Morche on Friday, July 31.
The provincial deputy, Juan Álvarez, delegate for Technological Development and European Resources, president of the Provincial Waste Consortium of the Malaga Provincial Council, accompanied by the manager, Ángel Castillo, explained that it is a collaboration between the Consortium itself, together with ECOEMBES, a collaborating company in the recycling of both light packaging and paper and cardboard, together with the five coastal municipalities of the region in which it will take place from July 8.
