The lion, who has been named White King by Sevilla zoo keepers, was born on May 31 but was abandoned by its mother after a traumatic birth.
White King was born at the Guillena World Park Reserve. Three days later staff were forced to pull him out of the enclosure after being repeatedly snubbed by his mother and suffering with dehydration, hypothermia and hypoglycemia.
Zoo director Juan Luis Malpartida said the lioness, who was brought over from Thailand four years ago, was in labour for two weeks before White King was finally born.
Mr Malpartida said the bundle of white fur was being bottle fed and doing well, and getting no end of cuddles from staff.
