Orihuela is aiming for a hole in one as it launches a nationwide promotional campaign today to boost golf tourism in the Vega Baja area on the Costa Blanca.

ENTITLED ‘Orihuela Golf Experience, Health Guarantee,’ the campaign will appear on radio, television and press nationally and regionally during June, July and August, as well as digital portals specialising in golf, especially in the area of Malaga and Sotogrande, Cadiz.

Councillor for Tourism, Mariola Rocamora, said: “We consider the Vega Baja to be the core of the province’s golf offer, as Orihuela has five golf courses, Vistabella Golf, Villamartin Golf Club, Las Ramblas Golf Club, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club and the Real Club de Golf Campoamor Resort.”

A promotional video can be viewed through the YouTube channel of Orihuela Tourism, and combines the courses with other tourist attractions, monuments and beaches.

It was filmed using a drone during the months of confinement.

Rocamora also announced the reopening Foreigners’ Office in Orihuela Costa, which has been providing telephone assistance to expats throughout State of Alarm.

From Wednesday July 1, appointments can be made by calling 966 760 000.
