Costa Calida Age Concern reaches out to those anxious about leaving their homes after lengthy isolation

Age Concern Costa Calida is reaching out to those anxious about leaving their homes after lengthy isolation in Murcia and surrounding areas.

THE charity is urging anyone nervous about leaving home to collect prescriptions, to do shopping or just in need of a chat to contact them.

A spokesperson said: “Isolation is a difficult situation to just dismiss. What you can do is phone us at Age Concern, we can help. Please call us on 634 344 589, 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.”

The Murcia Drop in Centre will remain closed until September and Age Concern’s normal monthly activities, coffee mornings, afternoon teas, menus del dia, chair exercises, table top sales etc, have been postponed for now and will also resume in September.

The charity added: “Sadly our Black and White Ball, which was to be held on September 4 has had to be cancelled this year, but to all our disappointed supporters of this popular event… see you next year!

“But on a positive note, we are still planning to hold our annual New Year’s Day Swim on January 1 next year, and sponsorship forms for this are available now.”

To find out more, call Age Concern or email: ageconcerncostacalida@gmail.com.

For enquiries call 634 344 589, event information 634 336 484, and equipment loan 634 306 927,  between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
