The Charity Shop of Calpe donated €4,000 in vouchers for fresh food during lockdown when help was most needed

FRESH FOOD: Charity Shop of Calpe donated €4,000 to Caritas and the Red Cross credit: Charity Shop of Calpe

ALTHOUGH the Charity Shop of Calpe has been closed for more than 12 weeks it has still supported the local community.
During a time when help was most needed, the Charity Shop donated €4,000 in vouchers for fresh food that were split evenly between Caritas and Calpe’s Red Cross.
The Shop is unlikely to reopen until September, partly for safety reasons but also due to a flood which damaged the ceiling and ruined much of the stock.
The charity therefore urgently needs donations of clothes, shoes, household items and small pieces of furniture.
These can be dropped off at the Shop on Monday and Thursday mornings between 10am and 12 noon in Galerias Mar Azul on Avenida Gabriel Miro.
