VILLAJOYOSA HOSPITAL: Warring clan members admitted with injuries credit: EWN
A BRAWL between two Benidorm clans ended with four people in Villajoyosa hospital. The same four were also arrested and charged with affray and causing bodily harm. The National Police were called to the rundown but soon-to-be-developed Armanello area as the fight escalated and what sources close to the case described as “blunt force weapons” were used. Two men, one with “considerable head injuries,” were sent directly to Villajoyosa while two others, initially taken to Benidorm’s health centre, were later transferred to the hospital. At least five National Police, Local Police and Guardia Civil patrol cars were spotted parked outside the hospital where officers were posted to prevent further trouble between the warring clans as relatives visited their injured family members.
