LBC radio has confirmed that it won’t be renewing Brexit Leader Nigel Farage’s contract, as he leaves ‘with immediate effect after discussions.’

In Twitter Post LBC stated: “Nigel Farage’s contract with LBC is up very shortly and, following discussions with him, Nigel is stepping down from LBC with immediate effect. We thank Nigel for the enormous contribution he has made to LBC and wish him well.”

Farage was a radio host for the station for around three years. Although the Brexit Leader has yet to make an official statement, the response to the LBC Twitter announcement has been mixed with messages from fans, as well as people who are glad to see the back of him and his controversial views. One said: “BIG mistake letting @Nigel_Farage go. His show was one of the few reasons I listened in. Many others will now feel the same.” Many, in fact, are actually elated with Farage’s departure and are sending him off with messages of “Good riddance.
