Man found dead at army barracks in Shropshire

An investigation has been launched by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) after a man was found dead at an army base in Shropshire on Sunday morning.

THE deceased was discovered at Clive Barracks in Tern Hill, where the 1st battalion of the Royal Irish Regiment is currently based.

In a statement, an An MOD spokesperson said it is “with great sympathy that we can confirm the death of an individual at Clive Barracks”.

“The circumstances surrounding this death are being investigated and it would be inappropriate to comment any further at this time.”

The MOD added that their thoughts are with the deceased’s family and friends.
