THE mayor of Almuñecar, Trinidad Herrera, has expressed her satisfaction with the residents in the municipality for their responsibility and efforts in reaching Phase 3 of Spain’s de-escalation plan.

Herrera has asked that residents do not forget “that they must still uphold the security measures” as time goes by, and that “they must continue to set an example.”

She notes her satisfaction that Granada has now joined the rest of the Andalucian provinces in Phase 3 and the discomfort she felt when the province was left stagnated, although they had the same “sanitary parameters” as their regional neighbours.

Herrera encouraged residents to “keep their distance” and “wear masks” all whist enjoying the satisfaction of their progress in the escalation plan.
