A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested by the National Police accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Marbella.

Reports suggest that the pair were part of a group of youngsters who met in a local park and started drinking alcohol.

It is alleged that the boy, who is reportedly not Spanish, persuaded the girl to go to a squat which he shares with other young people and it was there that the assault took place.

After returning home, the girl told her parents what had happened and they in turn contacted the National Police.

The girl was interviewed by members of the force who are trained to deal with this type of alleged crime and after this, the boy was arrested.

As he is also considered to be a minor in the eyes of the law his interview was classed as an examination but after details were passed to the prosecutor’s office, he was placed in a juvenile hall of detention before the matter comes to trial.
