On Monday the Canary Government presented a proposal to the Inter-territorial Health Council for the La Gomera, El Hierro and La Graciosa islands to enter Phase 3 of the de-escalation plan given that they are progressing in a favourable way and have a positive epidemiological evolution.

Alongside Formentera, these three Canary Islands were the first to being the de-escalation process into the ‘new normality’ and so far they have not registered any new deaths from the coronavirus. In La Gomera and El Hierro only 8 and 3 cases have been diagnosed, respectively.
