TEUMO, Teulada-Moraira’s municipally-owned street-cleaning and rubbish-collection company is taking on six more staff.
They will be especially needed to help disinfect public spaces and those occupied by the restaurants and cafes that are reopening their terraces during Covid-19 de-escalation programme, explained the councillor responsible for Teumo, Hector Morales.
Preference will be given to residents with heavy family responsibilities or applicants with difficulty in accessing the labour market, Morales revealed.
The extra disinfection service will last four months, with each group of three new employees working two months.
“This way more people will have jobs, however short the period,” the councillor said.
