Coin-based Performing Arts Society find innovative ways to continue through lockdown on the Costa del Sol.

TAPAS (The Andalucia Performing Arts Society), based in Coin, has found new innovative ways to carry on during the lockdown and moved online.

“We were so determined not to curtail our activities during the lockdown and have embraced modern technology and video conferencing so our members could still enjoy themselves and have fun,” said Betty Ross the newly elected Chair of TAPAS.

“Holding our 2020 AGM recently through the marvel of video conferencing, was a huge success, with more members attending than we ever anticipated. An excellent result considering many of our members say they are technically challenged!” Betty went on to say.

“#cantemosenlacasa# has become our strapline. Singing has definitely helped everyone to feel better during these last few months,” said Paul.

So, whether keeping in touch via the TAPAS social media chat group or having fun with weekly Bernie’s Quiz, Betty’s Bingo and Choir rehearsal sessions on Video platforms, it has been an eventful and enjoyable time for the group.
