On Tour Travel – The UK Group tours and school trip specialist operator ceases trading

In yet another blow to the UK travel industry, the Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that On Tour Travel was wound up last night.

THE company was based in Wales and traded using the website ontourtravel.co.uk, which now says it is ‘under maintenance’ – It was set up in Merthyr Tydfil in 2004 and sold European and worldwide destinations, group tours, tours for sports fans and Disneyland Paris.

It sold tours for rugby teams, supporters following professional sports events, school trips, and battlefield tours in Europe. The CAA said: “We are currently collating information from the company and will email ATOL protected consumers with details on how they may make a claim.”

Companies House stated the company was wound up on Friday, May 15.
