Guardia Civil in Spain bring Algerian criminal to justice in Court of Llanes after long investigation

THE Guardia Civil, within the framework of Operación Strabe, will proceed to bring to justice the Algerian known only as MK, 42 years old, considered one of four people responsible for the death of Francisco Javier Ardines González on the morning of August 16 2018, when the deceased was violently assaulted near his home in Belmonte de Pría (Llanes).

The long-running investigation carried out by officers of the Unidad Central Operativa and the Comandancia de Gijón, on the occasion of these events, led to the arrest of three of the four alleged perpetrators in February 2019, who remain on remand, as well as the execution of house searches in different properties, including the address of the now extradited.

After being handed over by the Swiss Authorities, on Thursday, members of the Guardia Civil investigation team presented the extradited person before the Court of Llanes today.
