Lunch was much appreciated
RIGHTLY impressed with the work that the staff of the Accident and Emergency Unit at the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella undertake on a daily basis, the La Cala de Mijas Lions arranged for delivery of lunch to them on two recent occasions.
An exceptional array of food was supplied and delivered by Craig from the Costa Deli Sol in Cala de Mijas.
Accompanying the food was a letter from the Lions President, Anita Humphreys, thanking the staff at the hospital A & E department for their selfless support of the local community.
Having been on the front line of this coronavirus, Covid-19 pandemic, the members of the Lions charity felt that the staff and their families were heroes and deserved recognition and thanks.
Doctor Suzana Oliver, on behalf of the A & E staff, sent a message of thanks to the Lions saying that they were extremely grateful for the Lions generosity.
Always needing to raise money to continue helping those in need, the Lions are replacing their annual fundraising Spring Fayre and Fashion Show with a Virtual Fashion Show and for full details visit La Cala de Mijas Lions Facebook page or their web site at www.e-clubhouse.org/sites/mijaslacala.
