Swimming allowed at Albir beach but restricted to an elite of professionals and swimmers from official sports federations

ALBIR beach is closed but professional swimmers or those from provincial, regional or national federations may still train there.
Alfaz’s Environment and Sports departments stressed that this, for the moment, is the only type of swimming allowed, and applies only to Alfaz residents, between 6am and 10am and from 8pm until 10pm, although daylight hours are preferred.
Otherwise the red flag flies permanently on Albir beach and there is no lifesaving service.
All training must be individual, no collective activities are allowed and a five-metre distance is required between swimmers or the rowers also allowed to use Albir’s coastal waters.
Swimmers enter the beach at the lifesavers’ observation tower located at the Albir-Altea boundary in front of Country Ribs.
