Police make arrests as they break up anti-lockdown protest in London

Arrests were made and fines issued as police dealt with an anti-lockdown protest of up to 50 people in central London.

According to witness reports, the demonstrators carried banners which read the likes of “no consent”, as well as some conspiracy theorists who referred to 5G.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said “a number of people were arrested and fixed penalty notices were issued,” during the protest near Westminster Bridge.

 the force said.
