Online meetings manage to shorten distances during Spain’s State of Alarm thanks to Torrox language school

SPAIN’S State of Alarm came at the wrong time for many members of Axarquia’s foreign community.
Some were visiting their countries of origin where they know they must remain for some months until normal travel resumes and they can visit their second homes again. Other foreign residents, equally unable or unwilling to travel, have remained in Spain and now the Torrox-based language school Malaga lingo is operating an online service so that all involved can still “meet” friends in Spain at 1pm each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
“The meetings, which are free, have been very successful and means that Axarquia’s residents, both foreign and Spanish, are still in touch,” Malaga lingo said, explaining that they were open to anybody who wanted to join in.
